The Alameda County Deputy Sheriffs’ Activities League (DSAL)  was founded in 2004 by Captain Marty Neideffer to offer pro-social after school  activities for youth in the Ashland and Cherryland  community.    DSAL is most recognized for our soccer league which has over 1,500 participants annually. In more recent years the creation of Dig Deep Farms to provide jobs and a food hub to increase the availability of fresh fruits and vegetables.

In the summer of 2016, DSAL, the Sheriff’s Office launched Eden Night Live in partnership with the Castro Valley/Eden Area Chamber of Commerce, Alameda County Public Works, Alameda County Housing and Community Development Agency, Alameda County Board of Supervisor, Nate Miley, and the Community.

Programs at REACH:

The Lift: Weight Lifting, circuit training, endurance, speed, nutrition, weight loss, running club, girls fitness and more.

The Groove: Hip hop, Jazz, Tahitian, Competition Team Dance.
